Overview

Our Name

Rimon is the Hebrew word for pomegranate, a fruit said to have 613 seeds. Jewish law has 613 commandments, and so the Rimon connotes the sweetness, beauty, and fullness of Jewish tradition.

Our Vision

In an age when assimilation and intermarriage have become the new norm, Rimon strives to:

• Reach out to the over 100,000 Jews that live within a half hour of our Center.
• Create venues to  intensify the current search for Jewish renewal that is already expressed by many in our community and
• Spark new portals of entry for those that are disconnected from their heritage, their faith, and from Israel.

Rimon serves as a model institution for how that new engagement can be done right. At Rimon, we strive to display the many vibrant voices of Jewish thought while maintaining an eye to the culture at large. We offer Jews of all stripes and age the opportunity to reconnect through art, music, Torah study, and prayer –led by truly talented rabbis and teachers, in an environment that’s at once uplifting, warm, and non-judgmental.

Our Home

Rimon is located halfway between Philadelphia and New York overlooking a beautiful creek, a bustling street, and an idyllic farm. Our campus the Mordecai T. Mezrich Center for Jewish Learning is at the center of everything.  It is large enough to fill our needs, and yet still cozy. We couldn’t have asked for a place that suits us more.
